Dr. Wohlbier will discuss the use of recommendation systems, which are ubiquitous in the commercial space and on the rise across the Department of Defense. Recommendation systems present unique computational challenges including extremely large datasets and a combination of sparse and dense memory operations. We will discuss details of our recent work on improving the performance of Facebook’s Deep Learning Recommendation Model.
